The Shoemaker Center for Church Renewal at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary along with Ridley College, Melbourne invite you to attend a daylong conference on lament, affirming the ongoing relevance of lamentation in the life of the church, exploring its biblical roots and application in church practice. Dr. Sean McDonough and Dr. Donna Petter of GCTS along with Dr. Scott Harrow, Rev. Dr. Rhys Bezzant, and Dr. Lindsay Wilson of Ridley College will explore the themes of lament in Scripture and how it manifests itself in the life of the church.

Lindsay Wilson: "Lament as a prayer of faith"

Rhys Bezzant: "Pursuit of power and lack of lament: historical reflections on pastoral practice."

Scott Harrower, "Trinitarian Eschatology and Laments at Death's Threshold"

Lunch is included in the ticket price. The event will take place in Alumni Hall in the Kerr Building on the campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary starting with registration check in at 8:30am and ending approximately at 4:30pm.
